We are experts at solving problems. We are your representative and act on your behalf in any matter where you require help. JADEN Proper can be your assistant or substitute for making decisions, putting project plans together, and engaging with the right people at the right time.

What handyman services do you offer?

We do not specialize. We pride ourselves in delivering a wide range of repair and remodeling projects, no matter if they take an hour, a day, or longer. Our goal is to get it done right.

Is JADEN Proper Licensed & Insured?

Yes, JADEN Proper is insured and licensed by the State of Connecticut.

What JADEN Proper does NOT do?
  • We DO NOT work with any primary energy source (this includes fuel) connections.
    • We can refer or manage projects that do.
  • We DO NOT service HVAC systems.
    • We can refer or manage projects that do.
  • We will REFUSE any work which we feel puts anyone or anything at risk.
How do you charge for work?
  • Time & Materials: for quick projects and repairs.
    • $95.00/hour/tech for the first hour + Materials + Travel Time (for parts runs if required)
  • Retained: For landlords or out-of-town owners.
    • By agreement
  • Project: For more complex renovations.
    • By agreement
How much will it cost?

Most jobs require only one tech, and the typical repair varies a lot, but the average cost most clients spend is about $350-$450.

How do I pay?

We accept cash, checks, and most major credit cards. Credit cards will be processed using square, and there will be a small convenience fee to use a card. 

When do I pay?

Generally, Payment is required when we agree on the work and before it begins. Additional charges (if any) will be due and collected after the services are complete. 

Can you paint my house?

Yes and No.  We focus mostly on interior painting, e.g. the kitchen or bedroom.  For exteriors, we are here to help fix any damage and make it look right, including some painting.  We are not a house painting company.  For larger exterior painting projects, we can help locate, hire and coordinate services.

Do you offer 24/7 service in an emergency?

We offer a 24/7 option to clients who have a JADEN Proper Managed Services Contract (JP-MSC). Our rule, though, is, If we can help, we will.
